Nick Transue and a "hammer handle" northern. Lots of these in the lakes.

Wesley Transue with a typical Irene Lake trout. Lots of these too!

A little persistence pays off. The smile says it all.
Father and son, Nick and Wesley Transue from Florida spent a week at Irene Lake with 4 others. The father and son teamed up for quite a variety of fish with a walleye, northern and lake trout. They also caught lots of smallies. Even tho' they "had to work" a little for the walleye, there is no such thing as a bad day of fishing. Catching may be slow but it beats a good day at work anytime.
